Powered door safety

Every powered door we fit is commissioned with force testing to BS EN 12453 and handed over with a Declaration of Conformity and UKCA or CE marking, as the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 require.

Electrics

An electric door needs a power supply near the roller box. Part P does not apply in Scotland, but electrical work must meet BS 7671 and the Scottish building standards where it forms part of building work.

The lost or stolen fob is no longer recognised, so it can't open the door. It's sensible to do this after moving house as well, when you can't be sure how many handsets exist.

Does a smart receiver work with any electric roller door?

Not always. Some control boxes accept a smart receiver directly, while older or less common systems need a replacement receiver first. It also needs a dependable Wi-Fi signal at the garage.
