What should I know about roller garage door repairs in Merseyside?
- Photos or a short video of the fault help us confirm the visit and, where possible, which parts may be needed.
- If parts have to be ordered, a return visit is arranged and its date is confirmed in writing.
- We'll tell you plainly when a repair isn't good value compared with fitting a new roller door.
- Any parts the door needs are explained and quoted before they're fitted, and you decide whether to go ahead.

Rules that apply in England
Powered door safety
Every powered door we fit is commissioned with force testing to BS EN 12453 and handed over with a Declaration of Conformity and UKCA or CE marking, as the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 require.
Electrics
An electric door needs a power supply near the roller box. Electrical work must meet BS 7671, and in England some domestic electrical work is notifiable under Part P, so it is done by a registered competent person or signed off by building control.
Questions about roller garage door repairs in Merseyside
Can I get a price without anyone visiting?
Yes. The guide price tool takes four steps and gives a range for your opening and door type, or the visit price for a repair. It is a guide, not a quote: the written quote comes after the survey or once the visit price is agreed.
Which towns do you cover in Merseyside?
We cover Merseyside, including Liverpool, Birkenhead, St Helens and Southport. Every town has its own page with local details, and you can start a guide price for any postcode in Merseyside online.
Are guide prices the same across Merseyside?
Yes. The guide prices are the same in every town in Merseyside. The written quote reflects your opening and the door you choose, not your postcode.
Is there a charge if the door can't be repaired?
The visit price is agreed before we come out and covers diagnosis and the first 30 minutes, so it applies whatever the outcome. If the engineer finds the door isn't worth repairing, they'll explain why, and we can price a new door for you to compare. Nothing else is charged without your agreement.
What does the repair visit price include?
The repair visit price covers diagnosing the fault and the first 30 minutes of work. If the door can be put right in that time without parts, that's all you pay. If parts or more time are needed, the engineer explains what's wrong and quotes before fitting anything, and you decide whether to go ahead.
