Is a manual roller door practical on a double garage?

It can be, but only up to 4 m in our price list, and you'll be lifting a long curtain by hand each time, even with spring assistance. For a garage opened every day, or anyone who would find that hard work, an electric door is usually the better choice. Wide doubles between 4 and 5.5 m in our price list are electric.

Can I convert a double up-and-over door to a roller door?

Yes. We remove the old door and its frame, or keep the frame if it's sound, then check the lintel and reveals. The box is fitted behind the lintel and the guides to the reveals. Any extra work, such as a new lintel or building out the reveals, is priced on survey and listed separately in your written quote.
