What should I know about smart roller garage doors in Warrington?

Ask which features the smart receiver offers, such as showing whether the door is open, before you order it.
Consider battery backup alongside smart control, so the door still works for a limited number of cycles in a power cut.
Check the Wi-Fi signal on your phone at the top of the garage opening, since the receiver needs a reliable connection there.
Decide who in the household should have app access, and plan how you will remove access when someone no longer needs it.

Rules that apply in Warrington

Electrics

An electric door needs a power supply near the roller box. Electrical work must meet BS 7671, and in England some domestic electrical work is notifiable under Part P, so it is done by a registered competent person or signed off by building control.

Powered door safety

Every powered door we fit is commissioned with force testing to BS EN 12453 and handed over with a Declaration of Conformity and UKCA or CE marking, as the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 require.

Smart roller garage doors in Warrington: questions

Do you cover Warrington?

Yes. Warrington is part of the area we cover in Cheshire, including WA1, WA2 and WA4. Get a guide price online, then we confirm a survey or visit date in writing. Dates depend on installer and engineer availability.

Do you charge more for Warrington than other towns in Cheshire?

No. Guide prices are the same for Warrington as for anywhere else we cover in Cheshire. The written quote reflects your opening and the door you choose, not your postcode, apart from islands and remote areas where any travel cost is shown in advance.

Can I message you a photo of my garage in Warrington?

Yes. Photos of the opening, the inside of the garage above the door and any existing door help us give a more useful guide price for Warrington. Send them by WhatsApp or mention them in your enquiry, and we will reply in writing.

How much do smart roller garage doors cost in Warrington?

Our guide price for smart roller garage doors is from £1,290 inc VAT. The figure for your garage depends on the opening size, the door specification and any extras, and is confirmed in a written quote after a free survey. The guide prices are the same in Warrington as elsewhere we cover.

What happens to a smart garage door if the Wi-Fi goes down?

The app may stop responding until the Wi-Fi or internet connection comes back, but the door itself keeps working. Your remote fobs talk to the door directly, and any keypad or key switch works as normal. The door doesn't rely on the internet to open and close, only to take instructions from the app.

Do I still get remote fobs with a smart door?

Yes. A smart door comes with rolling-code remote fobs as well as app control, so you have a way to operate it without your phone. Extra handsets can be added to your order, and a wireless keypad is useful for anyone without a fob or a phone to hand. Keep the manual override handle somewhere easy to find, too.
