Smart roller garage doors in Nelson

No. Guide prices are the same for Nelson as for anywhere else we cover in Lancashire. The written quote reflects your opening and the door you choose, not your postcode, apart from islands and remote areas where any travel cost is shown in advance.

That depends on how often you use the garage. An electric door opens from the car with a remote and has safety devices fitted, while a manual door costs less and suits occasional use. We price both for your Nelson garage so you can compare.

Most single domestic roller doors are fitted in a day once the door has been made, including removing the old door. Wider doors, conversions that need building work and jobs where power has to be run can take longer; the quote says what to expect.

Our guide price for smart roller garage doors is from £1,290 inc VAT. The figure for your garage depends on the opening size, the door specification and any extras, and is confirmed in a written quote after a free survey. The guide prices are the same in Nelson as elsewhere we cover.

The app may stop responding until the Wi-Fi or internet connection comes back, but the door itself keeps working. Your remote fobs talk to the door directly, and any keypad or key switch works as normal. The door doesn't rely on the internet to open and close, only to take instructions from the app.

Some smart receivers can link to voice assistants or home automation systems, but it varies from one receiver to another. If that matters to you, tell us at the survey and we'll confirm what the receiver for your door supports before you order. Think carefully before allowing voice commands to open the door, for security.
