What should I know about smart roller garage doors in Rhondda?

Consider battery backup alongside smart control, so the door still works for a limited number of cycles in a power cut.
Decide who in the household should have app access, and plan how you will remove access when someone no longer needs it.
Check the Wi-Fi signal on your phone at the top of the garage opening, since the receiver needs a reliable connection there.
Only close the door from the app when you know the opening is clear, and keep testing the safety devices monthly.

A free survey in Rhondda then measures the opening and checks the power supply and Wi-Fi signal where the receiver will go. Your written quote lists the door, receiver and any extras.

Smart roller garage doors in Rhondda: questions

Can I message you a photo of my garage in Rhondda?

How much do smart roller garage doors cost in Rhondda?

Do you charge more for Rhondda than other towns in Mid Glamorgan?

No. Guide prices are the same for Rhondda as for anywhere else we cover in Mid Glamorgan. The written quote reflects your opening and the door you choose, not your postcode, apart from islands and remote areas where any travel cost is shown in advance.

Do you cover Rhondda?

Yes. Rhondda is part of the area we cover in Mid Glamorgan, including CF42, CF43 and CF41. Get a guide price online, then we confirm a survey or visit date in writing. Dates depend on installer and engineer availability.

Does a smart garage door work with voice assistants?

Some smart receivers can link to voice assistants or home automation systems, but it varies from one receiver to another. If that matters to you, tell us at the survey and we'll confirm what the receiver for your door supports before you order. Think carefully before allowing voice commands to open the door, for security.

Can several people control the door from their phones?

Usually, yes, though how access is shared depends on the app and receiver your door uses. It's worth keeping a list of who has access, and removing anyone who no longer needs it, in the same way you'd keep track of keys and fobs. Ask about sharing at the survey if it matters to you.
