What should I know about remote control and keypad upgrades in County Armagh?

A smart receiver is only fitted where the door has both a safety edge and photocells, re-tested at fitting.
Rolling-code handsets are matched to your door's receiver, paired during the visit and tested before we leave.
Recoding after moving house means only the handsets you hold can open the door, whatever the previous owners kept.
Smart receivers let you open and close the door from a phone app where the garage has dependable Wi-Fi.

Rules that apply in Northern Ireland

Powered door safety

Every powered door we fit is commissioned with force testing to BS EN 12453 and handed over with a Declaration of Conformity and CE marking, which is the marking that applies to machinery placed on the market in Northern Ireland.

Electrics

An electric door needs a power supply near the roller box. Part P does not apply in Northern Ireland, but electrical work must still meet BS 7671 and be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Questions about remote control and keypad upgrades in County Armagh

How do I book a visit in County Armagh?

Tell us what the door is doing using the form on this page, by phone or on WhatsApp. We confirm the visit price before anyone comes out, then confirm the date in writing.

Which towns do you cover in County Armagh?

We cover County Armagh, including Portadown, Lurgan, Craigavon and Armagh. Every town has its own page with local details, and you can start a guide price for any postcode in County Armagh online.

Are guide prices the same across County Armagh?

Yes. The guide prices are the same in every town in County Armagh. The written quote reflects your opening and the door you choose, not your postcode.

Where is a wireless keypad fitted?

A wireless keypad is usually mounted on the wall outside, close to the garage door and at a comfortable height, so you can open the door without a handset. It communicates with the receiver without a cable to the control box. You choose the code, and you can change it later if you need to.

Does a smart receiver work with any electric roller door?

Not always. Some control boxes accept a smart receiver directly, while older or less common systems need a replacement receiver first. It also needs a dependable Wi-Fi signal at the garage. Tell us what control box you have and we'll confirm what's compatible, and the price, before the visit is booked.
